Definitely- I recommend a company called Surfin Fire for surf lessons. The company is run by a group of lifeguards/surfers/firefighters so there is a real emphasis on safety. They perform the surf lessons just 5-10 minutes from the resort at a beach called Ponto Beach which is a perfect beach for learning. As a parent of a young child I have never felt more at ease leaving my son at camp. I worried about the supervision and ocean safety and I was instantly pleased with what I observed. The individual attention that my son Jake received was unbelievable. In one short week they transformed him into a surfer. My kids have done several camps that they enjoyed, but this one is by far the best one ever. We will be back for sure! A specail thanks to Ryan and Nolan for really making Jake feel so comfortable in and out of the water.

I just wanted to let you know that Mark, our instructor, did an amazing job!!!  He was perfect.  He was so patient and encouraging and knowledgeable.  This was a birthday present for my daughter and it turned out to be an absolutely perfect day!  I couldn't have asked for a better day!
In fact, we plan to take another lesson with Mark just because we enjoyed it so much!

My lesson was the best ever!! Kellan is an awesome kid - and kept me laughing and motivated. 
I will not be back in town until July, but hope to get wet everyday for that week and again in August. It's frustrating, because it's hard to improve when my opportunity to surf is so limited right now. However, I am going to keep trying!

I had one of the best times ever during one of your surf lessons!  My two younger siblings and I took lessons on July 3rd with Kelen in Oceanside (apologies for any misspelling of Kelen's name and/or for not knowing his last name).  Kelen is a great instructor and made the time go by so fast.  Whoever is in charge of hiring definitely made the right choice in hiring Kelen as he certainly has quite a knack for teaching. While instructing us, Kelen was put in charge of three very different ages: 13, 16 and 21.  Kelen was able to teach each of us very effectively & all of us had a great time.  It is likely that we will take more lessons in the future.  Thanks Surfin Fire and Kelen!!!

I just wanted to send a note in about our experience today. 
My kids, Zack and Lily did a lesson with Kevin and it was wonderful. 
He was so great with them. He took such care to insure their safety 
and make the day enjoyable. They both had the time of there life and 
will be surfing for years to come. The first thing they said was how
