North Encinitas Sea Bluff:

Interstate 5 Freeway

• Exit Poinsettia Ave., go west
• Turn left onto HWY 101
• Access beach at the Carlsbad State Day Use Beach Park approximately 150 yards north of La Costa Ave. Parking here is $8.00 for the day.
• If you reach the signal at La Costa Ave. you have gone to far.  You must make a u-turn and travel south on Hwy 101 again to reach parking.

Free Parking on Hwy 101:

·Dirt/Sand lot just off of Hwy 101, just south of the jetties 
·Located approximately 150 yards north of La Costa Avenue on west side
·Walk on beach traveling south (approximately 800 yards) into Encinitas waters/ Sea Bluff beach
·Look for the yellow Surfin Fire easy-up canopy

Free Grandview Parking Lot: 

·Take Hwy 101 just past La Costa Ave.
·Turn right on Grandview, go to top of the hill
·Turn right on Neptune, take to street’s end
·Parking lot on your right
·Access beach at stairs (a lot of stairs!)
·Surfin Fire is about an 800 yard walk north on the beach
·Look for the yellow Surfin Fire canopy
·You may arrange for an instructor to meet your child at the top of the stairs for “Drop-Off” and “Pick-up”, please call the main office (760) 438-0538 for this to occur.

Carlsbad State Day Use Beach Park:

·Situated off of Hwy 101, veer right to enter lot just after the end of the dirt/sand lot
·Pay $10.00 at parking permit machine
·Enter on to beach and travel south approximately 150 yards
·Look for the Surfin Fire easy-up canopy

Annual State Parks- Parking Permit:

·Available for purchase at the Carlsbad State Camp Ground Kiosk
·$125.00 for the year
·Permit can be displayed when using the Carlsbad State Day Use Beach Park

Private Lessons:

When booking a private lesson during summer surf camp hours M-F  9-4PM, you will meet your instructor at the surf camp location on the beach.  All other lessons during off season and or weekends will typically meet instructor in front of the restroom & shower facility at the Carlsbad State Day Use Beach Park. Your meeting location will be confirmed at the time of scheduling.
